Dr. Joëlle Schwarz is Senior Researcher and Co-Head of the Health and Gender Unit at Unisanté, the Center for Primary Care and Public Health of the University of Lausanne. Trained in social sciences and epidemiology, her research focuses on gender-related health disparities, medical sociology, and the role of gender in clinical practice and medical education. She leads and teaches on topics related to sex and gender in health, equity, and diversity, and is actively involved in advancing interdisciplinary approaches to gender-sensitive healthcare and medical training.

Miyuki Katai is Professor and Director of the Health Services Center at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo. An endocrinologist and pioneer of sex- and gender-specific medicine in Japan, her work focuses on women’s health, gender medicine, endocrinology, and gendered innovation. She serves as President of the Japanese Association for Gender-Specific Medicine and leads interdisciplinary initiatives that integrate clinical medicine, digital health, and artificial intelligence to advance personalized and equitable healthcare for women across the life course.

Seong-Mi Park is Professor of Cardiology at Korea University Anam Hospital and Director of the Heart Failure and Echocardiography Laboratory and Rosetta Hall Women’s Heart Center.

Her clinical and research work focuses on myocardial function in heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and coronary microvascular dysfunction.

Her academic interests also include women’s cardiovascular health and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. She has held leadership roles in multiple Korean cardiovascular societies.

Alexandra Kautzky-Willer is Professor of Gender Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Vienna General Hospital.

Her clinical expertise includes internal medicine, endocrinology, geriatrics, and palliative care.

Her research focuses on metabolic diseases and gender-specific medicine, particularly in diabetes and hormonal regulation. She is President of the Austrian Society of Gender-Specific Medicine and has received multiple national awards for her contributions.

Kateryna Ostrovska is a health policy and systems strategist with a background in family medicine and extensive leadership experience across Ukraine’s healthcare sector.

She has worked as a Health Governance Specialist with the United Nations Development Programme in conflict-affected regions and as a consultant with Deloitte on the USAID Health Reform Support Project, focusing on workforce policy.

From 2019 to 2025, she served as President of the Ukrainian Society for Gender and Anti-Aging Medicine. She is also a Fulbright alumna, having conducted research at the University of California, San Francisco.

Rosa Maria Bruno is Professor of Pharmacology at Université Paris Cité and Head of the Unit of Clinical Pharmacology at Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou.

She specialises in internal medicine and hypertension and is a member of the INSERM research team on arterial health and disease in women.

Her research focuses novel approaches for the non-invasive evaluation of vascular ageing in hypertension and other diseases, with particular attention to sex and gender differences. She holds leadership roles in several European scientific societies, including the Artery Society and the ESC Council on Hypertension.

Ute Seeland is Professor of Sex- and Gender-Sensitive Medicine at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Chair of the German Society for Gender-Specific Medicine. She is a specialist in Internal Medicine whose research focuses on sex and gender differences in cardiovascular disease, prevention, vascular ageing, microvascular disorders, and women's cardiovascular health. A pioneer in the field of gender-sensitive medicine, she is actively involved in advancing research, clinical care, and medical education to promote equitable and personalized healthcare across diverse populations.
