Shirin Heidari is Executive Director of GENDRO and Senior Researcher at the Geneva Graduate Institute, where her work focuses on advancing gender equity in health research, policy, and practice.

She is the lead author of the widely adopted Sex and Gender Equity in Research (SAGER) guidelines, which have shaped international standards for reporting sex- and gender-sensitive research.

She has held senior leadership positions at organizations including Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters and the International AIDS Society. She received her PhD from the Karolinska Institute and has extensive experience working across academia, non-profit organizations, and United Nations agencies.
